Passage (2011)

Passage is a soundwalk created for the site specific theatre festival Oerol based on the migration journey of Marike's family. The audience members walk at a 1 minute interval individually along a levee of the Terschelling island, while engaging in a story about the places of our childhood and the surrounding landscape. They end at a little cabinet filled with tins with spices, soaps, leaves and other smells that invite sense memories. The project was experienced by over 3500 people over the course of 10 days.
