An audio piece designed to be listened to while riding the purple line train from Union Station to Wilshire/Western

Don’t Look Back is an Orpheus-inspired immersive sound experience on the mythical character of the underground, the forward-facing character of Los Angeles, and how the Metro system is a place where different lives come together.

Once you download the soundtrack, the experience will take you on a journey from Union Station in downtown LA to the Wilshire/Western Station in Koreatown.

You descended -
To this place where people’s lives briefly brush each other
Where did you choose to sit?
Are you facing forward or backward?

Imagine this place as a stage.
The car.
The platforms.
The escalators.
A stage where myths could happen.

This experience is presented in the context of the Eurydice Found Festival. Inspired by LA Opera's world premiere of Eurydice by composer Matthew Aucoin and librettist Sarah Ruhl, artists, scholars and community members across Los Angeles will come together in the first three months of 2020 for a festival dedicated to new perspectives on the ancient Greek myth of Orpheus and Eurydice.
